-Lead prospecting -> Cold outreach -> positive response -> cultivation -> right place right time.


I’ll give a long edition today and do a full breakdown of my 5-step method!


# 1) Lead Prospecting = finding the right client FOR YOU. Are they active online? Could I be an asset to them?


# 2) Cold outreach = I talk about it a lot. To be brief today, let’s just say this is the part where you aim to be seen. I have plenty of field notes already and more to come on what constitutes as GOOD cold outreach


# 3) Positive response = the goal of cold outreach. This is where someone gives us the opportunity to stop being a stranger and start building a relationship.


# 4) Cultivation = Your cold lead is now… A WARM LEAD! Congratulations. Now, we stay on their mind and we stay relevant. Outreach becomes a bit more spread out and less about “hey check this out that I did! Wanna work together?” and more about “Hey name, hope your Thanksgiving went well! How’s little Billy? Last we talked, you said he’s aiming for baseball tryouts this year!”


# 5) Right place Right time = Finally, right? THIS is where you get hired. You’ve stayed on their mind, you’ve been kind and professional, you are now at the forefront of their brain and they need a VA. Guess who they think of first?? Pst… it’s you.


Stage 6??? = All of this is NOT how you land a long-term client. Don’t get it mistaken. This is how you land the opportunity to EARN a long term client. You get the gig through this work. How you preform, how fast you are, how professional you are in the gig, how you continue to follow up. All of THAT is what keeps people coming back.
