It's good to give up

-THE WALL. Want to do something amazing for your productivity? Stare at a wall. Sit your chair in front of a blank wall (about 3-4 feet away). Pick a single spot and stare at it. Do not let your eyes drift, do not close your eyes and do not get lost in your thoughts. Set a timer from 15-30 minutes and turn off all sounds, distractions, everything. Your goal is to completely deprive your brain of stimulation without going into a meditative state. When the timer goes off, go straight back to work. You can either do this once a day or every time you feel yourself getting distracted and unproductive. Give it a try for just 3 days. Test your attention span and willpower to just… be bored.
-Try, fail, give up, and smile. Nothing wrong with picking something up then deciding it aint for you. You don’t have to be Tim Henson just because you want to learn guitar. There’s nothing wrong with that guitar just becoming a decoration on your wall too if you decide it’s not as fun for you as you’d hoped. The more you try the more well-rounded you’ll be. If we stuck with every single thing we ever picked up in life, it’d be far too busy to find the things we enjoy most.
